Important Notice Before Purchase

1. The Vortek Upgrade Kit is compatible with H2D and H2S printers, but the installation requires advanced skill and significant time. For better value, we recommend purchasing the H2C printer which includes the Vortek system.
2. Before purchasing, you must read the official installation guide for the Vortek Upgrade Kit available on the Bambu Lab Wiki to fully understand the installation process.
3. The Vortek Upgrade Kit (H2S Compatibility Pack) will be released after firmware support is available.



4. Laser version H2S is not recommended to be upgraded to H2C. If you upgrade to H2C and want to use the laser function, you will need to additionally purchase the left and right side panels and contact after-sales support to receive a replacement top frame assembly. This will increase both the upgrade cost and the complexity of installation.



For 110V Version Users

During the installation of the upgraded Heatbed, if you find that the number of connectors on the AC board does not match the number of plugs on the Heatbed (eg. the heatbed has three plugs while the AC board has only two connectors), do not proceed with the installation.

Please submit an after-sales support ticket as soon as possible to contact official customer support. We will send you a compatible AC board replacement to ensure the device can be used properly and safely.

FAQ


1. Can H2S and H2D be upgraded to H2C?

A: H2D and H2S users can upgrade their devices to H2C by purchasing a Vortek upgrade kit. However, due to the high level of technical skill required for the upgrade process and its lengthy duration, it is recommended that users who want to experience the Vortek system directly purchase an H2C. Purchasing an H2S or H2D first and then upgrading will incur additional costs.

   

The H2D Vortek upgrade kit is expected to arrive as early as January 2026. Since H2D does not require updating its native firmware before the upgrade, the upgrade can be performed immediately upon kit arrival.

   

While the H2S Vortek upgrade kit is expected to arrive around the same time, the upgrade requires a prior update to the native H2S firmware. This firmware is expected to be released as early as Q1 2026, therefore the Vortek upgrade for H2S users is also expected to be available as early as Q1 2026.

2. After purchasing the Vortek Upgrade Kit, how many packages will I receive?

3. What is the estimated installation time?

A: The replacement and installation process is estimated to take approximately 4-5 hours. Please ensure you have set aside sufficient time and reviewed the official installation guide before beginning.

 

4. Can I use the Vortek Upgrade Kit to upgrade my H2D Pro to H2C?

A: No, upgrading the H2D Pro to H2C is not recommended. Please note that the H2C does not support professional connectivity features, including Ethernet connections and WPA2-Enterprise authenticated Wi-Fi.
