What's new in 2026 (vs older Bambu Lab lineups)
- X2D is the spiritual successor to the X1 Carbon — first accessible dual-nozzle with active chamber heating to 65 °C. Replaces the older X1C.
- A2L slots into the A-series as a "mega-size" tier — 330 × 320 × 325 mm build volume at $469, much cheaper than P-series for hobbyists who want bigger prints.
- X1E is discontinued. If you're looking for an enterprise-grade replacement, the H2D Pro is the modern answer.
- P1S is heavily discounted (was $699, now $399) — strong buy if you've been waiting.
- H2D added the "Personal Manufacturing Hub" framing — multi-material + laser/cutting in one chassis.
- H2C replaced the older H2D Pro Combo as the top-tier combo (single AMS 2 Pro included, dual AMS optional).
How to read this comparison
Skip the table if you want — the rest of this post walks through each printer, who it's for, what it does well, and where it falls short. Then at the end there's a one-paragraph guide that maps your situation to the right printer.
Series overview: the four families
Bambu Lab organizes their lineup into four series. The boundaries matter because the cross-shopping list (AMS compatibility, hotends, accessories) is series-specific.
A Series — A1 mini, A1, A2L
The entry tier. Open-frame, no closed chamber, PLA/PETG focused. Quiet, lightweight, cheap. AMS lite or AMS 2 Pro compatible. This is the "first printer" and "big-build on a budget" series.
P Series — P1S and P2S
The prosumer tier. Closed chamber, ABS/ASA/PC capable, faster than A-series. AMS 2 Pro / AMS HT compatible. P1S is on heavy sale right now (best value); P2S is the newer, more refined successor.
X Series — X2D (new for 2026)
The "accessible dual-nozzle" tier. Replaces the older X1 Carbon lineup. Active chamber heating (65 °C), gear-and-trigger toolhead swap, AI monitoring. The right answer for anyone who wanted X1C capability at a lower price.
Note: the older X1E is discontinued. If you see X1E or X1C references on third-party sites, those are leftover stock or used units — the modern replacement is the X2D.
H Series — H2S, H2D, H2C
The flagship tier. 325 × 320 × 325 mm build volume, dual-toolhead tool changer on H2D/H2C, AMS 2 Pro / HT compatible, and the only series that supports the Laser Module and Cutting Module upgrades. This is where you land if you want one workshop tool, not a desk accessory.
1. A1 mini — $219 (was $299) — the best first 3D printer
Don't overthink the first printer. The A1 mini has the same core print quality as the larger A1, costs $80 less, and is small enough to live on a desk. AMS lite support means you can swap four colors of PLA without ever opening the lid. Wi-Fi & Bambu Studio work out of the box.
Specs that matter:
- Build volume: 180 × 180 × 180 mm (small but covers 90% of hobby prints)
- AMS support: AMS lite only (4 colors)
- Materials: PLA, PLA+, TPU up to 80 °C bed
- Weight: ~5 kg, fits on a shelf
Where it falls short: No closed chamber, so it doesn't do ABS or ASA well. Build volume is small — no full helmet inserts. The AMS lite lives next to the printer (not stacked).
Buy the A1 mini if: you're buying for a kid, a maker-space starter, a 5th-grade classroom on a tight budget, or you just want the lowest-risk "test drive" before upsizing later.

2. A1 — $299 (was $399) — first printer with room to grow
The regular A1 trades $80 for a noticeably bigger 256 × 256 × 256 mm build volume plus a more rigid frame. That's the difference between "cute little thing on your desk" and "I can actually print a full helmet insert." Still no closed chamber — so still PLA/PETG/TPU territory. Still a great place to start.
Specs that matter:
- Build volume: 256 × 256 × 256 mm
- AMS support: AMS lite only (4 colors)
- Materials: PLA, PLA+, PETG, TPU up to 80 °C bed
- Speed: 500 mm/s with vibration compensation
Where it falls short: Same closed-chamber limitation as the A1 mini. ABS / ASA prints will warp.
Buy the A1 if: you're a first-time buyer who doesn't want to upgrade in 6 months. Skip it if you already know you'll move to engineering materials — go straight to P1S.
3. A2L — $469 — mega-size on an A-series budget
NEW for 2026. The A2L slots into the A-series as the "big-volume, low-cost" option. 330 × 320 × 325 mm build volume (that's 105% more space than the 256 mm class), at $469 for the printer-only version. The A2L is the answer to "I want a big printer but I don't want to pay $1,000+ for the H-series."
Specs that matter:
- Build volume: 330 × 320 × 325 mm (~34 L, fits a full helmet or 40 fidget spinners in one batch)
- AMS support: AMS lite (Combo version), AMS 2 Pro (mix-and-match with shared buffer — up to 19 colors stacked)
- Materials: PLA, PLA Pure, PETG up to 80 °C bed; 300 °C nozzle
- Speed: Adaptive vibration compensation, real-time per-layer retuning
- Connectivity: Bambu Cloud or LAN-only mode (privacy-friendly)
- Noise: 49 dB in Silent Mode ("as peaceful as a quiet library")
- Modular toolhead cover: swap in a blade cutting module (Cutting Full Combo) or pen drawing module — single toolhead, but toolhead accessories, not print/nozzle swaps.
Where it falls short: Open frame means ABS / ASA / nylon are tough (no enclosed chamber). No dual nozzle. Smaller hotend envelope than the H-series, but bigger than the A1.
Buy the A2L if: you want big-build hobbyist prints (cosplay helmets, big vases, batch fidget-toy runs) without paying P-series or H-series prices. The A2L is the size-up from A1; not a tier-up.

- A2L Combo — $569 — + AMS lite (multi-color).
- A2L Cutting Full Combo — $629 — Combo + blade cutting module for stickers/leather/fabric/paper.

4. P1S — $399 (was $699) — the prosumer sweet spot, on sale
The P1S is the printer we sell most of, and right now it's at the lowest price we've ever seen it — $300 off MSRP. Three reasons it leads the lineup:
- Closed chamber — ABS, ASA, PC without warping.
- Speed — core XY with vibration compensation; travel moves and infill feel twice as fast as the A-series.
- AMS 2 Pro support — sixteen colors (with two AMS units), hot-swap dry-box friendly.
Specs that matter:
- Build volume: 256 × 256 × 256 mm
- AMS support: AMS 2 Pro and AMS HT (and AMS lite)
- Materials: PLA, PETG, ABS, ASA, TPU, PC (up to 100 °C bed enclosed)
- Speed: 500 mm/s with vibration compensation
- Connectivity: Wi-Fi, Bambu Studio, microSD, optional camera
Where it falls short: Smaller build volume than the H-series. No upgrade path to laser or cutting modules. Single nozzle — no dual-nozzle support like the X2D.
Buy the P1S if: you want the best price-to-performance ratio in the entire lineup, you don't need 325 mm build volume, and you're not planning to add laser/cutting modules later. The sale price makes this the standout value pick of 2026.

5. P2S — $549 — refined P-series flagship
The P2S arrived as the spiritual successor to the P1S. Same 256 × 256 × 256 mm build volume, but with a newer motion system, refined Wi-Fi workflows, quieter operation, and a more modern UI. If you're buying today and have the budget, this is the one over the P1S. If you already have a P1S, the upgrade isn't huge — don't rush.
What's different from the P1S:
- Quieter operation (~48 dB vs ~50 dB on P1S)
- Refined motion system with better surface finish at high speeds
- Newer Wi-Fi stack — more reliable LAN printing
- Same AMS, same build volume, same materials
Where it falls short: Same as P1S — no laser/cutting module path. Build volume caps at 256 mm. No dual-nozzle.
Buy the P2S if: you're buying new today and want the most refined P-series. Buy P1S if you find one on a great deal — the difference is incremental and the P1S is on a heavy sale right now.

6. X2D — $649 — accessible dual-nozzle (new for 2026)
NEW for 2026. The X2D is the spiritual successor to the X1 Carbon — and the first Bambu Lab printer to put dual-nozzle capability into the prosumer price tier. Three things make it special:
- Dual-nozzle gear-and-trigger system — main nozzle (PMSM servo, hardened steel gear) for the print, auxiliary nozzle (stepper motor) for supports. Tool-free swap, 1,000,000+ cycle life. Cleaner supports, dissimilar materials in one job (PLA + TPU), up to 25-color with dual AMS 2 Pro.
- Active chamber heating to 65 °C — three-stage filtration (G3 + H12 HEPA + activated carbon), UL 2904 indoor-air-quality certified.
- 300 °C nozzle + 65 °C chamber — supports ABS, ASA, nylon, and engineering-grade filaments that need real thermal management.

7. H2S — $1,199 (was $1,249) — single-nozzle ultimate
The H2S sits in an interesting spot — flagship-tier build volume (325 × 320 × 325 mm) at a prosumer price. If you want H-series real estate but don't need the dual-nozzle of the H2D or H2C, this is your printer.
Specs that matter:
- Build volume: 325 × 320 × 325 mm
- AMS support: AMS 2 Pro (and AMS HT)
- Materials: PLA, PETG, ABS, ASA, PC, PA, PA-CF (with AMS HT)
- Speed: 600 mm/s with vibration compensation
- Upgrade path: Laser Module and Cutting Module compatible (same as H2D/H2C)
Where it falls short: Single nozzle — no tool-changer. If you want to print multiple materials in one job without purging, the H2D or H2C is the upgrade.
Buy the H2S if: you want H-series build volume for production but don't need dual-nozzle multi-material in a single print.

8. H2D — $1,749 (was $1,999) — the personal manufacturing hub
The H2D is where Bambu Lab stopped making a 3D printer and started making a workshop platform. It's the printer we recommend when someone says "I want one machine that prints, and I might add cutting or engraving later." Three things make it special:
- 325 × 320 × 325 mm build volume — meaningful real estate for production.
- Dual-toolhead tool-changer architecture — print, swap to a different hotend, swap back. No filament purge when changing toolheads.
- Upgradability to laser engraving & cutting via the Laser Module (10W or 40W) and Cutting Module kit.
Specs that matter:
- Build volume: 325 × 320 × 325 mm
- AMS support: AMS 2 Pro and AMS HT (16 colors with two AMS units)
- Materials: full engineering suite — PLA, PETG, ABS, ASA, PC, PA, PA-CF, PEKK (with proper AMS and chamber settings)
- Speed: 600 mm/s with vibration compensation
- Tool changer: dual independent extruders with hot-swap
- Upgrade path: Laser Module 10W or 40W, Cutting Module kit
Where it falls short: Tool-changer complexity is overkill if you don't actually need multi-material in one print. It's a 50-lb machine that wants a real workbench.

- H2D Engineering Bundle ($2,119) — adds AMS HT (high-temperature) for polycarbonate and other engineering materials.

9. H2C — $2,199 (was $2,399) — uncompromising multi-material
The H2C is the new top-tier combo from Bambu Lab — the "ALL NEW" hero on the US store right now. It bundles the H2C chassis with the AMS 2 Pro and is positioned as the no-compromises multi-material machine for serious makers, design studios, and prosumers.
Specs that matter:
- Build volume: 325 × 320 × 325 mm
- AMS support: AMS 2 Pro (single; expandable to dual for 16 colors)
- Materials: full engineering suite including high-temp materials
- Speed: 600 mm/s with vibration compensation
- Tool changer: dual independent extruders
- Laser-ready: 10W Laser Module or 40W Laser Module (sold separately)
Where it falls short: Higher price than H2D for similar core capabilities. Single AMS at base — for true 16-color you still need a second AMS.
Buy the H2C if: you want the flagship-tier multi-material machine and the H2C-specific refinements matter to you. Buy H2D if you want flagship-tier at a lower price (the difference is incremental).

Discontinued — what to replace it with
X1E — discontinued
The X1E was Bambu Lab's enterprise / industrial-grade 3D printer, with active chamber heating and 24/7 operation. It is discontinued and no longer sold on us.store.bambulab.com as of 2026.
Existing X1E owners can still get parts and service through us — we stock X1E nozzles, build plates, AMS parts in our Training & Maintanence/库存维修件2026/ folder. If you're looking for an enterprise-grade replacement, the H2C is the modern answer.
H2D Pro Combo — superseded by H2C
The previous top-tier combo is no longer the flagship. H2C now occupies that position at $2,199 (cheaper than the old H2D Pro Combo at $3,799) — same AMS 2 Pro and dual-nozzle capability, but on the H2C chassis with the latest refinements.
