Which Build Plate Is Right for You?
| Textured PEI Plate | Special textured surface adds a unique textured finish to the bottom of prints. Strong adhesion in most cases without adhesive. Durable, long-lasting coating. | Compatible with PLA, TPU, PETG, and high-temperature materials like ABS and Nylon. When printing PC/PA/ABS/ASA, a layer of glue stick may be needed. |
| Dual-Texture PEI Plate | Dual-sided coatings: textured PEI on one side, smooth PEI on the other. Choose a matte or smooth bottom finish. | Smooth side: compatible with PLA, TPU, PETG, ABS, Nylon (apply glue for filaments other than PLA to prevent sheet tearing). Textured side: same as Textured PEI Plate. |
| Engineering Plate | Corrosion-resistant reinforced coating optimized for engineering materials such as ABS, ASA, PC, and PA. Fine, uniform surface texture for stable adhesion and a smoother, nearly glossy bottom finish. | Compatible with the full range of Bambu Lab filaments — simply apply a thin layer of glue before printing. The perfect all-around solution when unsure which plate to use. |
| Cool Plate SuperTack | Finely textured surface approaching a smooth, glossy finish. Beginner-friendly, glue-free printing with PLA and PETG. Strong adhesion, resistant to dirt, minimizes detachment. Lower bed-heating energy and more environmentally friendly. | Designed only for PLA and PETG. Using any other materials may damage the surface coating. |
Bambu Textured PEI Plate
Excellent First-layer Adhesion and Improved Durability
After optimizing the manufacturing process, the durability of the plate is enhanced and adhesion between prints and plate is significantly improved, eliminating the need for adhesives.
Self-release when Cooled Down
PEI withstands repeated heating and cooling cycles of the heatbed. Prints come off easily once the heatbed reaches room temperature (we recommend waiting until 35℃ or lower). If the print still adheres, simply bend the steel plate.
Compatible with Various Filaments
PEI enables printing not only with common materials such as PLA, TPU, PETG, but also with materials that require high temperatures like ABS and Nylon.
Reliable Magnetic Adhesion to Prevent Warping
The 0.5mm-thick stainless steel plate enhances magnetic adhesion, helping prevent warping and ensuring optimal print quality — especially for larger models in warping-prone materials like ABS, PC, and Nylon.
Textured Surface Finish
A powder-coating process creates a rugged texture that adds a one-of-a-kind texture to your prints' first layer.
Considerations
- Increasing heatbed temperature enhances adhesion — adjust to your specific requirements.
- Clean the surface regularly with detergent and water; dust and grease decrease adhesion. Do not clean with acetone.
- Bambu Lab recommends only Bambu Lab official glue on Bambu Lab build plates.
- Always wait a few minutes for the plate to cool before removing models.
- The Textured PEI plate is a consumable part; warranty covers manufacturing defects only.

Bambu Engineering Plate
One Build Plate for All Filaments
With a simple layer of glue, the Engineering Plate is compatible with the entire filament lineup — the perfect go-to solution when you're not sure which plate to use.
Durable Smooth Surface Coating
The refreshed coating significantly improves temperature, scratch, and corrosion resistance. Built to withstand prolonged high-temperature printing and hundreds of washes and peels.
Smooth & Natural Surface Finish
The smooth base coating imparts a smooth, flat texture to the bottom of printed objects.
Considerations
- Apply glue before printing with any filament; liquid glue generally gives better first-layer quality than solid glue.
- Use the correct scraper technique; apply alcohol at the model-plate interface if adhesion is too tight.
- Clean with warm water and dish soap; do not use unapproved cleaning agents or acetone.
- The Engineering Plate is a consumable part; warranty covers manufacturing defects only.

Bambu Cool Plate SuperTack
Say Goodbye to Print Failures
SuperTack coating provides ultra-strong adhesion to PLA and PETG filaments, even at lower heatbed temperatures — eliminating adhesion issues and reducing warping on large objects.
Long Lasting Performance
The durable SuperTack coating retains its sticky properties even after extensive use (less than 20% adhesion loss after 300 prints).
Energy Saving
Requires only an extremely low heatbed temperature (PLA: 45℃ vs 65℃ on Textured PEI), saving energy during heating.
How to remove prints: use the scraper included with your printer to gently lift the print, then pry it off carefully. If sticking too tightly, heat the plate on the heatbed to 50°C to assist removal.
Considerations
- Designed only for PLA and PETG — do NOT print with TPU or other materials; it will damage the coating.
- The surface is soft — be careful with the scraper.
- Clean with water and detergent only; do NOT use organic solvents (especially acetone).
- Not recommended for Bambu PLA Silk (strong adhesion may damage models).
- The Cool Plate SuperTack is a consumable part; warranty covers manufacturing defects only.
